Mrs. Elizabeth M. Purdy, 37(87), widow of S.A. Purdy, died at her home, 1323 Butler Street, Saturday afternoon, after an illness of five years.
She was a member of Calvary Memorial Methodist Espiscopal Church. Her husband died 20 years ago
Eighteen years ago Mrs. Purdy moved from Carbondale to Easton. Previous to that time Mr. and Mrs. Purdy lived in Purdytown, a town in Wayne County which was named in honor of Mr. Purdy.
Deceased is survived by two daughters, Mrs. George Andrews, of Wilson; Miss Leonora Purdy, at home; two sons, Martin K. Purdy, of Bainbridge, N.Y.; Stanley a Purdy, of Arlington, N.J.; a sister, Mrs. Ida Edinger, of Easton; 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
