Henry Firestone and family were absent from home on Sunday and some thief pried open a door and entered the residence. The congress of one appropriated some bread, a quilt and a lot of soap. There was some money in the house, but it was overlooked.

This is one of the most desirable residences in the town of Lititz.

Here And There.--
We learn of the death of David Fry, in Nebraska. He worked for Jacob Tshudy and his son Hayden in this village, for upward of twenty years. About six years ago he moved to Iowa, and last Fall to Nebraska, where he died. His brother-in-law, Daniel Geyer, resides in Rome.

Orphan’s Court Sale.
By an order of the Orphan’s Court, of Lancaster county, will be sold at the Lititz Springs Hotel, on Saturday, November 12th, 1881, the following property of Mrs. Anna Sutter, deceased, viz:A lot of ground, 55 x __2 {numbers are missing from page} feet, situated opposite the Lititz Springs Hotel, Main street, Lititz, Pa. Deputy Sheriff Charles Strine made a pilgrimage along the Susquehanna river last week looking for fish baskets. It is said that they destroyed some forty baskets.
