Harrison Bright a former well known South Eastonian , who until June, 1919 resided at 835 Berwick Street, died suddenly of apoplexy, Monday night at 10.30 o'clock at his home in Los Angeles, Cal., according to a telegram received by relatives here yesterday afternoon.
Mr. Bright was born in Virginia on July 23, 1840, and therefore was 82 years old.
For nearly forty years he resided on the South Side. On August 1, 1883 he entered the employ of the Lehigh Valley Railroad as a fireman and on August 16, 1888 became an engineer remaining in active service until May 6, 1912, when he reached the retirement age of 70 years.
He was twice married, his first wife having died about eight years ago. Shortly after he removed to Los Angeles he was remarried.
He is survived by his second wife residing at Los Angeles, ten children; Ervin, Bright, of Tamauqua , William Bright, of Bethlehem, Mrs. Robert Sinclair of Allentown, Mrs. Thomas Breisch, Mrs. Edward Doyle, Mrs. Israel Kiefer, Mrs. Charles Brower, Mrs. Perry Woodring, Mrs. Jacob T. Walter and Mrs. Frank Frederick all of Easton; a brother John Bright, of Allentown, a half-sister , Mrs. Edward Grove, of Winchester, Va., and a half-brother, Edward Bright of Reading. Forty-one grandchildren and twenty-two great-grandchildren, all survive.
Mr. Bright was a member of the second M. E. Church and of the I.O.O.F. Lodge of Tamauqua. Burial will take place at Los Angeles.

Notes from Jean Dillon : Harrison Bright was born in Reading, Pa. Not Va. His parents were Aaron Bright and his first wife Maria S. Miller.
Oldest son is Irvin H. Bright, (paper has Ervin) first wife was Sarah Nagle born Mar 13, 1844 and died Aug 21, 1912. She is buried at Hays Cemetery, South Easton, Northampton County, PA., Section C. so is Harrison Bright per the grave stone.
