Ship Building.-- A new ship yard has recently been started in this town, by Mr. Daniel Foster. It is located on the estate belonging to the heirs of the late Jonathan Luther, next south of H. H. Luther's rivet establishment. Mr. F. had just laid the keel of the ship intended for the sperm whale fishery, to be commanded by Capt. William Martin, late of Millinoket.
Messrs. Chace & Davis have also laid the keel for a new ship in their yard. We understand she is intended for a whaleman, but who is to command her or who are to be her owners, we are not informed.
