H. C. Herr, of Savannah, Georgia has arrived in Hanover and is the guest of Mr.
and Mrs. J. W. Thoman, of 583 Broadway.
Mr. Herr’s early home was in Gettysburg where his parents died when their son
was quite young. As a youth he was employed with the Thoman family at
Abbottstown with whom he lived for a period of three years. After which he
learned the milling trade and later located in Savannah, Ga. For a number of
years he was employed with the American can Company as a die-setter and in
charge of the machine department, assembling and adjusting machinery.

The sixth annual reunion of the Herr clan was held recently in Benner’s grove, near Mt. Joy
church. Prayer was offered by the Rev. Mr. Whetstone. Mrs. Sarah Hull, 86, was the oldest
person attending and Betty Wagerman, two months old, the youngest.
The following officers were elected: President, Mrs. Luther Hawk; vice president, Mrs. J. B.
Horner; secretary, Mrs. Earl Zeigler; amusement committee, Mildred Horner, Elizabeth Ohler,

church. Prayer was offered by the Rev. Mr. Whetstone. Mrs. Sarah Hull, 86, was the oldest
person attending and Betty Wagerman, two months old, the youngest.

The sixth annual reunion of the Herr clan was held recently in Benner’s grove, near Mt. Joy
church. Prayer was offered by the Rev. Mr. Whetstone. Mrs. Sarah Hull, 86, was the oldest
person attending and Betty Wagerman, two months old, the youngest.
The following officers were elected: President, Mrs. Luther Hawk; vice president, Mrs. J. B.
Horner; secretary, Mrs. Earl Zeigler; amusement committee, Mildred Horner, Elizabeth Ohler,
Vivian Harner, Isabelle Haines; treasurer, John Ohler; chairman of music committee, Elmer
Welty.
Those attending the reunion were Mrs. Sarah Hull; Mrs. Mary Herr, Mr. and Mrs. W. M. Koontz and
