Grube, Daniel - 1881

Surprised.--
Mr. Daniel Grube was called from home last Wednesday and did not return until evening.  When he did return surprise took hold upon him, for about thirty ladies and gentlemen were awaiting him.  It was the forty-fifth anniversary of his natal day, and the evening of that day was bright with the glow of friendship and the sparkle of conversation.  A tempting supper was not the worst feature of the occasion.
