The funeral of Walter F. Kern was held on Sunday afternoon with private services at his home followed with public services in St John's Reformed Church, Nazareth.  The services which were very largely attended were in charge of the Rev. Walter H. Diehl and the Rev. Dr. Wallace H. Wotring.  Interment amid many beautiful floral tributes was made in the Greenwood Cemetery, Nazareth.  The following served as pallbearers, Harold Starner, George Brodt, Harry Reichenbach, William Follweiler, Sylvanus Fehnel, Harold R. Robeson, John Evans and Russell Cowell.  Honorary pallbearers were Oliver Knauss, Willis Magenbuch, Howard Shimer, William Silfies, George Kahler and Arthur Hellick..

Miss Geneva Bedford, R. N., of Passaic, N. J., spent the week end visiting her parents, Mr. and Mrs. R. O. Bedford.

Mrs. Rush Bowers, Mrs. L. O. Leah and Mrs. William Walek attended the meeting of the Lehigh and Northampton Past Templars Association, Ladies of the Golden Eagle, which was held at Allentown on Monday.

Mrs. Annie Brong and daughter Arlene on Saturday visited Mrs. Brong's mother, Mrs. Susannah Schriner, of Easton.  The condition of Mrs. Schriner, who fell down  a flight of stairs, is improving.

The condition of Mrs. Helen Nuss, who is a patient at the Easton Hospital remains the same.  Mrs. Nuss had three blood transfusions on Saturday.  The donors were Richard Werner, Ralph Brodt, and Simon Smith.
