Amos, James Milton - 1879

James Milton Amos died Saturday, March 22 and was buried Sunday in Magnolia Cemetery.  He was a member of the Greenville Lodge.  He was survived by his wife.

Amos, Martha S. [Rogers] - 1892

Mrs. J.M. Amos died Thursday with burial at Oaky Streak.  She was a citizen of Greenville for many years.  She was survived by her brother, John Rodgers.

Amerine, Miles Henry - 1914

Capt. M.H. Amerine, formerly of Greenville, died in Montgomery where he moved 34 years ago.  He was the son of Col. J.P. Amerine and was on his father's staff during the Civil War.  He later commanded the Montgomery Grays.

He married Miss Lena Lee, daughter of Col. Charles Stephen Lee of Elba, Ala. on 5/21/1867.

He was survived by three children, Edward P. of Macon, Ga., William H. of Montgomery and Mrs. W.H. Seymour of Montgomery, 1 brother, John R. Amerine and 1 sister, Mrs. J.P. Reynolds of Greenville.  He was buried in Greenville. (died 02/15/1914)

Amerine, Lena [Lee] - 1889

Lena Amerine, wife of Capt. M.H. Amerine of Montgomery, died last week.  She resided in Butler Co for many years and was the sister of Mrs. J.P. Reynolds of Greenville.  Burial was in Magnolia Cemetery.
