Cope, Thomas (Dr.) - 1892

Dr. J. D. Marsh, of Belfast, who has been on the sick list for the last two weeks is able to be about again.  Dr. Thomas Cope, of Nazareth, attended Dr. Marsh's patients during his sickness.

Amon G. Trumbower, a wholesale cigar agent, of Quakertown, was in town Tuesday and Wednesday.  Several years ago Mr. Trumbower had a fancy goods store in one of the rooms in Christ's Museum building.

Getz, John - 1892

John Getz, who about twenty years ago occupied the first floor of the building where the Item office is now located, as a saddler shop, and left these parts for Tifflin, Ohio, where nine years ago he eloped with another woman taking $700 of his wife's money with him, was recently found out to be in New Orleans.  His wife immediately went South and found him penniless and took him along back to Tifflin, where they are again a happy couple.
