Wife Whipping.-- John W. Pate was arrested yesterday by officer Seal, for assaulting and beating his wife Adelaide.  He will have a hearing this morning before the Mayor.

Boston Steamers - 1860

LOCAL MATTERS.

The Boston Steamers, now running regularly to city point, have thus far meet with moderate patronage.  If sufficiently encouraged, the owners of the line intend, in a short time, to add another steamer, which will run regularly to and from this port.
