Whitmore, Lucy (Mrs.) - 1906

A Family Reunion

On Saturday, Aug. 11, there was a very enjoyable family reunion held at the home of Mr. and
Mrs. Levi Crum in Quaker Valley.  A sumptuous dinner and supper made up of all the delicacies of
the season were served on the lawn, to which all did ample justice.  Those present were: - Mr.
and Mrs. Levi Crum, Flora Dale; Mrs. Lucy Whitmore, Mrs. Margaret Slaybaugh, Mrs. Susan Kahn,
Miss Maria Crum, of Mummasburg; Mrs. Lizzie Weaver, Mrs. Jennie Bushey and 3 children, Mr. and
Mrs. William McDannel, all of Biglerville; Mrs. Belle Bittinger, Mr. and Mrs. Philip J.
Schriver and five children, of Gettysburg; Mr. and Mrs. Willis Pitzer, of Arendtsville, and
Willie Britcher, of Aspers.

Craumer, Zachariah Ellsworth - 1930

East Berlin News of Interest

Z.E. Craumer, an aged justice of the peace, residing near Thomasville and a
director of the People's Bank of East Berlin, sustained several broken ribs 
when he fell from a wheat wagon, the latter part of last week. Squire 
Craumer, a well known resident of this section, was helping to unload a 
wagon of wheat while threshing, when he lost his footing and fell, from the 
wagon. His injuries were dressed by Dr. T. C. Miller, Abbottstown. They 
consisted of fractures of three ribs.

Mrs. Matilda Codori, mother of Mrs. George F. Eberhart, observed her 91st birthday anniversary
at the home of her daughter, Miss Anne Codori, Emmitsburg, Saturday.

There was a family dinner for fourteen guests on Sunday.  The guests included George F.
Eberhart and daughter, Miss Mary, and son, Richard, of Gettysburg; Mr. and Mrs. Frailey and
children, of Emmitsburg; the Rev. Fr. Peter Coad, of Mt. St. Mary’s college, and Monsignor John
Codori
, of Johnstown, a son.

Mrs. Codori is unusually well and active for one of such an advanced age.  She visited friends
in Gettysburg last week and said she was in “excellent health.”

Mrs. Codori formerly resided on Baltimore street, Gettysburg.
