Shaifer, Abraham K. - 1831

PROCLAMATION.
STATE OF MISSISSIPPI,
Claiborne County.
IN conformity with an act of the General Assembly of said State, passed 18th June, 1822, and the several subsequent acts relative to Elections in this State, and by virtue of a summons to me directed by Abraham K. Shaifer, Esq. Sheriff of said county, who is a candidate for said office, I, Robert Guy, a Justice of the Peace in and for said county, do hereby give notice to the inhabitants of said county, that an Election will be opened and held at the Court House and the several Election Precincts in said county, on the first Monday in August next, and the day following, for the purpose of electing a Governor and Lieutenant Governor of said State, two Representatives to represent Claiborne county in the General Assembly of said State, a Sheriff and Coroner for said county, and also to vote for or against a Convention, &c.
