Clarence A. Trowbridge, 53-year-old former Eureka resident for many years, died Saturday morning in Quincy. He was born July 9, 1904 in Harley, Wisconsin.
While residing in Eureka, he worked in the collection office of Pacific Gas and Electric Company from 1930 to 1952. In 1952, he became manager of the Arcata office. In February, 1957, he was transferred to the Quincy office.
He was past master of the Sempervirens Lodge, F and AM, Eureka; past inspector of the 300th district; past high priest of the Humboldt Chapter of Royal Arch Masons, and a member of the Pacific Council of Royal and Select Masters.
Survivors include his wife, Jennie Trowbridge, Quincy; daughters, Mrs. Silvia Pitlock, Quincy, and Mrs. Cora Vinum, Arcata.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Pierce Mortuary under the auspices of the Sempervirens Lodge. Inurnment will follow in Ocean View Cemetery.
