Robert Galey, Sr., father of the Galey Bros., the well known oil men
and of Daniel Galey, of Perry township, this county, the former home of
the family, died at his residence in Bellevernon, Pa., on Thursday last,
at the advanced age of 84 years.
During a long life of
industry and frugality Mr. Galey accumulated a fortune and his estate is
estimated to be worth a half million dollars. His remains were laid to
rest at Beaver, the home of his son, Thomas F. Galey.
