Henry Sims living near Simpkinsville, Monroe Co. attempted to commit suicide by cutting his throat from ear to ear. Dr. Chapman was called in after a lapse of 24 hours and found Sims in critical condition. He has a wife and 6 children.

Henry Simms, who attempted suicide on the 28th ult., died last Thursday from effects of the wound. He leaves a wife and 6 little children in an almost helpless condition. His mind has been affected for some time.
