RUNAWAYS IN JAIL.
Was
committed to the Jail of Claiborne county, on the 30th June, 1831, as a
Runaway, a Negro Woman, who says her name is Celia, about four feet
eleven inches high, about 30 years of age; had on when committed, a
check homespun dress, and says she belongs to James Shannon of Copiah
county, that she was sold to said Shannon in February or March last, by
James Herrell. The owner of the above described negro woman, is
requested to comply with the law, and take her out of Jail.
