CITY NEWS.

C. L. Mandell in the seventy-sixth year of his age, died last Tuesday of paralysis.  Mr. Mandell came to Kansas in 1855, settling in Lawrence and has resided here ever since.  He had been engaged in many enterprises, and in all his associations with his fellow-men, he was always upright and honorable.  He leaves an aged wife and many friends to mourn his loss.  The funeral took place to-day and the remains were interred in Oak Hill cemetery.
