Sheridan, George - 1895

George Sheridan, a son of Patrick Sheridan, met with a sad accident which resulted in his death on Friday.  While putting the harness on a young colt the man slipped and fell.  After getting up the colt kicked him somewhere about the stomach, severely injuring him internally.  Dr. Newcomer was sent for immediately and everything possible was done to save him but without avail.  As he was an only son it makes it all the more sad.  A father, mother and seven sisters and a large circle of friends mourn his death.  He was about 21 years of age and a well behaved, respectable young man, and well liked by all.  His remains were buried in the Catholic cemetery at Fryburg.
