Thompson, Alexander, Miner
February 2, 1889, 2nd District, Yough Valley Colliery, Westmoreland County.
This man and his little son were working together blasting slate before going home. They had got everything ready and had put off the shot, but due to a delay he went back to see what was the matter. As soon as he got to where the shot was, it went off killing him instantly. Age 44. Married. Two orphans.
