The funeral of Walter F. Kern was held on Sunday afternoon with private services at his home followed with public services in St John's Reformed Church, Nazareth.  The services which were very largely attended were in charge of the Rev. Walter H. Diehl and the Rev. Dr. Wallace H. Wotring.  Interment amid many beautiful floral tributes was made in the Greenwood Cemetery, Nazareth.  The following served as pallbearers, Harold Starner, George Brodt, Harry Reichenbach, William Follweiler, Sylvanus Fehnel, Harold R. Robeson, John Evans and Russell Cowell.  Honorary pallbearers were Oliver Knauss, Willis Magenbuch, Howard Shimer, William Silfies, George Kahler and Arthur Hellick..

The Lehigh-Northampton Scholastic League will hold their Spring meeting at Ross Common Manor.  Questions of importance which may be discussed will be a split basketball season and the question of providing the best kind of treatment to visiting teams.  This latter is an aftermath of the treatment afforded several clubs in away from home games this season.  Guy Cump, facility manager of our local high school is president of the League.

Even though they finished deep in the cellar, a rumor is afloat at present that Andy Leh will have a crack baseball quintet next season as two freshmen, namely the Byrnes brothers, John and Henry, and Elwood "Reds" Stofflet, now a junior, will return and will most probably be very much assisted by Dom Kemmerer, now catering with the local Y.
