Boronda, Bertha - 1908

Bertha Boronda was sentenced to five years in prison for “Mayhem” in 1908.

Since the newspaper article date and the date in the photo differ so much, I'm inclined to think that the 'mug shots' are from the prison in which she did her time.  Also, the newspaper article is from San Jose, California, and the 'mug-shots' are from Santa Clara, Nat. Minnesota.

Joshua Fisher, son of Thomas died this morning.  He has not long been married.  He married Tench Francis's daughter.

James C. Fisher was married this evening to Nancy Wharton, daughter of Jos'h Wharton, by Robert Wharton, alderman.  She was his first wife's cousin, and they could not be allowed marriage in meeting.

Tamazine Thomas was here in the forenoon.  She is providing bridal apparel for her daughter Tammy, who is to be married to Sam'l Haines.  Will probably be the first couple married at Downingtown Meeting House.

Stewardson, T - 1804

Peter went this afternoon with our old shabby carriage to attend the funeral of Joseph Baker's widow [Hester, age 79], by desire of T. Stewardson, of whose wife she was aunt.  Her name was formerly Head.
