August 27, 18889, 3rd District, Antrim No. 2 Colliery, Tioga County.
Killed by a fall of coal while undermining a breast near the outcrop. The coroner was called and declared it unnecessary to hold an inquest under the circumstances. Age 45. He leaves a wife and five children in Sweden.
