Scott, Joseph Bion - 1904

A Former Resident of Elizabethville Suicides.
The Patriot of Sept. 26th has the following: “Dr. J. Bion Scott, aged 48 years, of Gettysburg, Pa., committed suicide by hanging in the Friends Asylum, Philadelphia, where he had been a patient for two months.  He was suffering from Melancholia.”
Dr. Scott practiced medicine here, about 1881 and 2.

Carr, Louise - 1829

 Jacob Chesnutt died at the residence of his son, R. N. Chesnutt, at Murfreesborough, TN 1/16/1889 of pneumonia.  He was born in North Carolina 8/3/1808 and moved with his parents to Hinds Co., Mississippi in 1825 and finally to Butler Co. in 1827.  He was married in 1829 to Miss Louise Carr.  Was a Master Mason.
