Lawrence, Abbott - 1868

A Washington dispatch says that Mr. Abbott Lawrence, of Boston, recently stated to a gentleman of that city that a manufacturing comhany <sic> in which they were both interested was falling at the rate of $1,000 per day.  Other corporations are losing in the same ratio.

Hines, indicted for the murder of Lowry.  The case goes to Gilpin Co. for trial.  Extreme prejudice on the part of the people of Araphoe county against those defendants is the cause assigned for asking the change.  -- Denver Tribune
