THE undersigned, (lately from Columbus, O.) would beg leave to inform the Citizens of Urbana and its vicinity, that he carrys <sic> on the CABINET business. In all its various branches, in the shop formerly occupied by Mr. David Ogden, directly opposite the Methodist Church.  He has now on hand an assortment of plain work, such as Bureaus, Bedsteads, Stands, &c., which will be sold on the most reasonable terms for Cash, seasoned Lumber, of acceptable country produce.  Old furniture repaired and varnished.

He hopes by his industry and attention to business, to have a share of public patronage.

Harness, Trunks, &c,
all of which are made of the best materials & in a workman like manner.  He also keeps a first rate article of Wood-Hames, & Trace-Chains, all of which will be sold on the most reasonable terms for cash or accepted country produce.  He also intends keeping on hand a general assortment of Saddle Trees which will be sold at Columbus prices.

I WILL sell, at private sale, my farm of two hundred acres, more or less, situated in Urbana township, four miles south from Urbana, and ten north from Springfield, on the main road.  The place is well watered by several never-failing springs; there are one hundred acres in a good state of cultivation, and the improvements are a comfortable
Brick Dwelling-House,
Frame Stable and Log Barn; a a <sic> large Apple Orchard of good fruit, including air, <sic> Peach and Cherry Trees.

Also, one hundred and thirteen acres, in Union township, on the Milford road, eight miles from Urbana, and four from Mechanicsburg, twelve or fifteen acres of which are under fence; improvements, Log House and Stable.  Any one wishing to purchase either of these places, will do well do call and see for themselves, as I will sell low, and only part of the purchase money will be required in hand.  Immediate possession will be given.  For further information call the subscriber, living on the first mentioned place.

Gentlemen: I have received your communication of the 24th inst., requesting me to announce myself a candidate for the Judgeship of the Hustings Court.  Although I know you have placed too high an estimate on my qualifications, I do not feel at liberty to decline the request, coming, as it does, from so large a number of my fellow citizens.  If it should be the pleasure of the people to elect me, I will endeavor to discharge faithfully the duties of the office.
