Lockwood, William Lewis : 1836-1867

William Lewis Lockwood
Born in New York, New York, October 31, 1836.  A.B. [Bachelor of Arts], Miami University, 1858.  Admitted to the bar, 1860.  Recruited Company H, Forty-eighth Regiment, New York Volunteer Infantry, U. S. Army, 1861; first lieutenant, ibid., 1861; captain, ibid., 1862.  A. A. G., Second Division, Tenth Army Corps, U. S. Army, 1864.  Resigned the same year and entered the manufacturing business, Usquepaugh, Rhode Island.  Died August 17, 1867.  Buried in Greenwood Cemetery, Brooklyn, New York.

Isaac M. Jordan
Born in Union County, Pennsylvania, May 5, 1835.  A.B. [Bachelor of Arts], Miami University, 1857; M.A. [Master of Arts], 1862.  Admitted to the bar at Columbus, Ohio, May 1858, Attorney-at-law, Dayton, Ohio, 1858-1860, and Cincinnati, Ohio from 1860 until the time of his death.  Congressman, First District Of Ohio, 1883-1885.  Orator at First and Fifteenth Grand Chapters.  Died December 3, 1890.  Buried in Spring Grove Cemetery, Cincinnati, Ohio.

Born in Wayne Township, Knox County, Ohio, September 2, 1830.  A.B. [Bachelor of Arts], Miami University, 1857.  Student, Western Theological Seminary, 1857-1859.  Licensed by Richland Prebytery, 1858; ordained by same, 1859.  Pastor, Presbyteriain churches, as follows: Olivesburg, Ohio, 1859-1865; Ottawa, Ohio, 1865-1872; West Point Indiana, 19=872-1878.  Missionary, 1878-1882.  Pastor, Presbyterian Church, McComb, Ohio, 1882-1891.  Delegate, Presbyterian General Assembly, Detroit, Michigan, 1872, and Cincinnati, Ohio, 1885.  Retired.  Died December 11, 1920.  Buried in Allegheny Cemetery, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

James Parks Caldwell
Born in Monroe, Butler County, Ohio, March 27, 1841.  A.B. [Bachelor of Arts], Miami University, 1857.  Teacher in Mississippi, 1858-1859.  Principal, Palmetto Academy, Panola County, Mississippi, 1860 and 1865-1866.  served as private and first lieutenant of artillery , C. S. Army, in divisions of Loring, Gardiner, Breckenridge, and Bowen.  Admitted to the bar of the state of Mississippi, 1866.  Attorney-at-law, San Bernadino, California, and Los Angeles, California, 1867-1875.  Edited newspapers in Ohio; from 1887 practiced law in Gulfport and Biloxi, Mississippi.  Died April 5, 1912.  Buried in cemetery at Biloxi, Mississippi.

S Army,. 1861-1863.  County Superintendent, public schools, Minnesota, 1872-1877.  Publisher, Journal, Worthington, Minnesota, 1878-1885.  President Philamath College, 1885-1886.  Principal La Creole Academy, Dallas, Oregon, 1887-1892.  President, Central Oregon State Normal School, 1892-1896.  Retired.  Died February 3, 1919.  Buried in cemetery at Oakland, California.
