DIES AT CHICAGO

Chicago, July 25 (AP).-- Dr. Albert John Ochsner, famous surgeon, died here early today.

Death was due to angina pectoris.  His widow, Marion H. (Mitchell), survives him.

Dr. Ochsner, who was 67 years old, was the author of numerous surgical treatises and text books and a contributor to the medical press.  He was born in Baraboo, Wis., and was graduated from the University of Wisconsin and Rush Medical college of Chicago, later studying in the Universities of Vienna and Berlin.  Since 1896 he had been chief surgeon of the Augustana hospital and St. Mary's hospital here.

He held a major's commission in the medical reserve corps of the United States army and memberships in the American College of Surgeons, Royal College of Surgeons (Ireland), Royal Microscopical society (England) and a fellowship in the American Surgical association.
