Bowers, Ruth Loraine - 1946

DONALD L. COX WEDS TENNESSEE GIRL

Announcement has been made by Mr. Neuma N. Bowers, of Jackson, Tennessee, of the marriage of his daughter, Miss Ruth Loraine Bowers, and Donald L. Cox, son of Mr. and Mrs. Luther C. Cox, of 501 Orchard street, Bellwood.

Using the double - ring ceremony, the couple was united in marriage on Wednesday evening, January 30, at 9:30 p.m., at Corinth, Mississippi.

The bride was attired in a suit of grey with black accessories. Her attendants were Mr. and Mrs. Orman F. Bowers, of Tennessee. The bride is a graduate of Taylor High School of Jackson and also of the West Tennessee Business College. Upon graduation she was employed by the Roane-Anderson Company, in Tennessee.

Mr. Cox graduated from the Bellwood-Antis High School in 1940, and had been employed by the A&P company until his entry into the army. He was recently discharged from the army at Camp Polk, La., after service of three years, 16 months of which were spent in England, France, Belgium and Germany. Mr. Cox was with the 17th air-borne division.

After a wedding trip to Mississippi, Tennessee, Kentucky, Cincinnati, O., and several cities in Pennsylvania, the newlyweds will take up residence at 501 Orchard street, in Bellwood.
