Yesterday the wife of one Aaron Brethwin, a barber, in Oxford-street, was apprehended and committed to prison, for wounding an officer, (who came to arrest her husband, in so terrible a manner in the belly) with a carving knife, that it is thought impossible for him to recover.~ Virginia Gazette, 09-Jun-1774, Page 2, Column 2
