Mr. Robert E. Doughman, of DeMoines, Iowa, son of Mr. and Mrs. Milton Doughman of that city, was accompanied by his wife and visited his grandmother, Mrs. Moreland Watters and his aunt, Mrs. Laura Trego and family on North Fourth street, for several days. After the attack on Pearl Harbor, Robert enlisted in the navy and is a gunner’s mate and now has returned to duty. His wife has returned to DesMoines, where she is one of the legions helping the war effort by working in a defense plant.~ Bellwood Bulletin, 01-Apr-1943, Page 1, Column 6
