April 3, 1890, 1st District, Globe Colliery, Washington County.
Killed by falling slate.  Mr. Masters was in the act of drawing slate-posts at the time of the accident, in the fourth pool of the Monongahela River.  Age 50 (51).  Married.  Three (four) orphans.
