Chadwick, Matthew - 1889

Chadwick, Matthew, Miner,
February 27, 1889, 1st District, Albany Colliery, Fayette County.
Instantly killed by falling slate.  The deceased and a brother were driving entry in the mine, and while the deceased was knocking a post from under a cross bar, the slate over him gave way.  Inquest held and a verdict of accidental death rendered.  Age 29.  Married.  Two children.
