Today, on the 8th Anniversary of the creation of Ancestral Sightings, I present to you, the actual map that was the inspiration for the sepia insert map at the top of these pages.

This was a surprise birthday gift to me this year from my wonderful and supportive wife, who has endured my insatiable quest for information, a few thousand dollars in acquiring the books listed on the Resources page, and the tens of thousands of hours that I have committed to this blog in the hopes of helping those researching their family tree.
