Llewellyn E. Lloyd is among the representative young attorneys of Johnstown, with offices at 405 United States National Bank Building. He was born in Whitestone, Long Island, June 1, 1898, and was the son of Edward J. and Mary (Wilson) Lloyd.
Edward J. Lloyd, deceased, was a native of Wales. He received his education in Wabash College, Crawfordsville, Indiana, and prepared for the ministry at the Union Theological Seminary, New York. He became a prominent minister of the Presbyterian Church and for a number of years was located at Mineola, Long Island, New York. He died July 8, 1922, and is buried in Grand View Cemetery, Johnstown. Mrs. Lloyd, who was a native of New York State, died in 1899.
Llewellyn E. Lloyd attended the public and high schools in Mineola, Long Island. In 1921 he was graduated from the Pennsylvania State College, and in 1923 received his L. L. B. (Bachelor of Laws) degree from the University of Michigan. During the World war he was a member of the Student Army Training Corps at Pennsylvania State College. On Feb. 18, 1924, Mr. Lloyd was admitted to the bar of the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania and has been practicing his profession in Johnstown since that time.
Mr. Lloyd is a member of the Second Presbyterian Church of Johnstown, and the Cambria County Bar Association. He belongs to the American Legion Post No. 294, the Lions Club, Sunnehanna Country Club, Beta Theta Pi, and Gamma Eta Gamma fraternities.
