Harry
Kraft, the well-known restaurant keeper of Clay avenue, has left the
house and his whereabouts are unknown. His wife entered proceedings for
a divorce on Wednesday.
Kraft
remodeled his house last winter at a great expense and filed papers
asking for a license. At the license court he was turned down. Some
days ago his personal property fell into the hands of the sheriff.
Shortly afterwards he left his wife and nothing has been heard of {paper
illegible}. Mrs. Kraft now applies for a separation.
The
petitioner alleges that her husband was offered such indignities within
the past year and half, that her life has been burdensome, and she has
been forced to withdraw from her house and family. She further charges
him with striking her.
Mr. Harry Kraft and Augusta Kraft were
married on November 27, 1896 {?}. {paper illegible} and McGeary are
attorneys for the petitioner.

Further research provided the image of the marriage record below showing that the marriage took place on 27 Nov 1895.
