WOMEN'S DEMOCRATIC CLUB ELECTS OFFICERS
The Woman's Democratic Club of Bellwood and Antis Township met in regular session Tues. evening Feb. 5th at the home of Mrs. Norman Reed with 15 members in attendance. First on the program of the evening was a delicious covered dish luncheon served by the hostess Mrs. Reed which was greatly enjoyed by all, then as one of the Club members, Mrs. Annie McGinnis, happened to have a birthday fall on this same date, all those present arose to the occasion by offering congratulations and presenting Mrs. McGinnis with many most useful and beautiful little gifts. This action on the part of the club was greatly appreciated by Mrs. McGinnis. This was followed by the transaction of the business of the evening which consisted of the election of officers to serve for the ensuing year, the results being Mrs. Charlotte Summers was elected President; Mrs. Laura Stewart, Vice President; Mrs. Bessie Cunningham, Secretary; Mrs. Gretta Miles, Treasurer and Mrs. Blanche Houston, Sergeant at Arms.
It was moved and approved that a donation be sent to the March of Dimes.
Bingo was later indulged in much to the enjoyment of all, after which the meeting adjourned until the first Tues. in March.
