Chelgren, Karl A. - 1946

Round About Our Town

Karl A. Chelgren recently purchased the Hursch Building on Main street.  He plans extensive remodeling, and upon completion will open under his old name, the Bellwood Market, featuring a modern self-service food market.  Remodeling will begin in the near future and Mr. Chelgren hopes to be in his new establishment, ready for his old customers—and new ones—by March 15.

Round About Our Town

The remodeling of what was for a long time known as the Hursh stand, next to the First National bank, on Main street, and recently purchased by Karl Chelgren, is now nearing completion and will be occupied by the new owner in about ten days. For the past few years Mr. Chelgren has been successfully engaged in the grocery and meat business in a room of the Cornmesser block on South Cambria street, which was too small for his business and he was compelled to seek larger quarters.
