Amerine, Miles Henry - 1914

Capt. M.H. Amerine, formerly of Greenville, died in Montgomery where he moved 34 years ago.  He was the son of Col. J.P. Amerine and was on his father's staff during the Civil War.  He later commanded the Montgomery Grays.

He married Miss Lena Lee, daughter of Col. Charles Stephen Lee of Elba, Ala. on 5/21/1867.

He was survived by three children, Edward P. of Macon, Ga., William H. of Montgomery and Mrs. W.H. Seymour of Montgomery, 1 brother, John R. Amerine and 1 sister, Mrs. J.P. Reynolds of Greenville.  He was buried in Greenville. (died 02/15/1914)
