Clarion County Mines -- Hardscrabble
Operated by the Brady's Bend
Mining Company, of East Brady, C. F. Hartwell, superintendent.
Hardscrabble is a drift opening, immediately above East Brady, and in
1885 employed about ninety men, and five mules; approximately 50,000
tons were extracted that year and 30,000 marketed.
