December 18, 1888, 6th District, Webster No. 3 Colliery, Cambria County.
Was killed by an explosion of powder.  He died the same evening.  Age 14.

December 18, 1888, 6th District, Mt. Vernon No. 4 Colliery, Cambria County.
This man went to work at 4:00 o'clock in the morning, and at 6:00 o'clock the man working next to him, when passing his room, heard him groaning.  He was killed by his own neglect in not spragging the coal.  Age 14.  Single.

October 28, 1888, 6th District, Argyle Colliery, Cambria County.
This man was persuaded by his son, who was a driver, to jump on his trip and ride out, which he did.  On the way out he was knocked off the car, receiving injuries that proved fatal on November 12, 1888.  Age 62.  Married. Four orphans.

Injured by a fall of slate, from the effects of which he died on the 28th.  Age 54.  Married.  Four orphans.
